SFÖ - Sveriges Facköversättarförening "Is an association for professional translators and others dedicated to raising translation quality to the highest level possible." I formarly served as Chairman of SFÖ's 2000-2003. At the moment I am member and Chairman of the Ethics Committe since 2008.

Adult Basic Education Center, Syracuse, NY. "The Adult Basic Education program established at Washington-Irving School [ Syracuse, NY] was an early local response to President Johnson's declaration of a war on poverty." I was involved with this program in the mid-1960's.

Center for Literacy, Philadelphia, PA. "the nation's largest community-based, non-profit, adult literacy organization, provides free literacy and basic education services to over 2,400 adults a year throughout Philadelphia."
I founded this Center in 1968, and it is still active.
